Whatever happened to genuine care of children’s well-being? It’s heartbreaking to hear stories of parents abusing kids and even stories including death. As a mom, I fear for all the children.
It’s true what the second book of Timothy in Chapter 3 says:
2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.
It is quite unfortunate that my kids have to live in this age…well, I hadn’t known. ^_^ I had a good childhood, that’s when people actually care for others’ kids. When we could go playing into the night, under the moonlight and not worry or be afraid of people. When we could trust the people around us to defend us from intruders and not abuse us. When we’re told off to behave in front of other people and even when no one’s looking. But, it would have been unfair not to have given them the chance to live – for there are wonderful things that God made that they should see and live for.
I am not sure but I have observed a lot of kids through the years and it seems they lack the manners you’d expect of kids. Even my own children do show disrespect some times. It hurts.
Cliche, but, children are like sponge, you dip it in a pail of water and it will absorb all the water it can…just the same, kids will absorb whatever environment they’re put in. So I guess I just have to be the kindest person my kids will know…I admit I have been lacking in the discipline department but I hope that whatever way I bring them up, that they turn out to be responsible, caring adults.

we are lucky that we live in a community that teaches good morals and close family ties. my hubby was not that lucky, he never had a parent to teach him all those things, he grow up alone and abondon. God is good that He provide him everything that he needs to survive.
by the way, i love your photos.

Very true sis. Children today are very different compared to what we were before. All we have to do now is to discipline and guide our children at all times.
